Knee Surgery Delhi
Arthoscopy
Arthroscopy is a procedure in which several joints of the body such as knee, shoulder, ankle, hip and wrist can be examined and operated upon through a telescope. This is also called “key-hold surgery” for joints. The most common procedures are repair of removal of torn cartilage (torn meniscus), shaving of damaged cartilage, removal of loose fragments of bone and removal of inflamed lining of the joint (synovium).

Sport related injuries commonly damage the large joints of the body such as the knee and the shoulder. These injuries cause damage to the meniscus, tear of the ligaments such as Anterior Cruciate Ligament, recurrent shoulder instability or dislocation, and flap tears. All these injuries can be managed successfully by arthroscopy; there is minimal damage to the tissues and such sportsmen can return to competitive level of game soon after treatment.

Arthroscopy and sports related cases in Delhi and India are constantly referred to Dr.Shekhar. He has extensive experience in performing these surgeries and the results have been very satisfactory.
