Revision Knee Replacemet

Revision Knee Replacement: This is a procedure in which the previously implanted artificial knee joint, or prosthesis is replaced with a new and modified implant. Knee revision surgery may also involve the use of bone grafts.
Revision surgery is performed when the prosthesis becomes loose, wears out over a period of time, or gets infected. Management of perisprosthetic fractures may also require revision surgery. All these situations will result in patients experiencing pain, instability and difficulty in walking.
Revision surgery is very challenging and is regularly performed at Delhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopedics. The results of Dr.Shekhars revision surgery cases are comparable to the best centers in the world.
